An Improved Unambiguous CBOC Signal Tracking Scheme in the Galileo System

چکیده
Based on the cancellation and reinforcement of the autocorrelation side-peaks and main-peak, respectively, this paper proposes an improved unambiguous tracking scheme for composite binary offset carrier (CBOC) signals used in the Galileo system. Dividing the CBOC autocorrelation into multiple partial correlations, first, we obtain individual correlation components making up the autocorrelation side-peaks and main-peak. Then, we re-combine the components to cancel out the side-peaks, and at the same time, to reinforce the main-peak, thus yielding a correlation function with no side-peaks and a sharp mainpeak. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme provides a significant improvement in tracking performance over the conventional schemes. Unambiguous Acquisition for Galileo E1 OS Signal Based on Delay and Multiply
Abstract Galileo E1 Open Service (OS) signal is transmitted with the modulation of Composite Binary Offset Carrier (CBOC). CBOC has a main drawback that is the autocorrelation function has multiple sidepeaks, which will lead to ambiguous acquisition. The high rate of data bit and secondary code makes it very difficult to increase coherent integration time. This paper will propose a new scheme b...

s p r i n g 2 0 0 7 www.insidegnss.com On-going discussions are taking place between U.S. and European Union (EU) experts concerning the future GPSIII L1C and Galileo E1 OS civil signals. An agreement on a common power spectral density (PSD) known as multiplexed binary offset carrier (MBOC) recently emerged as a solid candidate to replace the current baseline: BOC(1,1). In order to comply with ...
متن کاملCodes Cross-Correlation Impact on S-Curve Bias and Data-Pilot Code Pairs Optimization for CBOC Signals
The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of spreading codes cross-correlation on code tracking performance, and to optimize the data-pilot code pairs of Galileo E1 Open Service (OS) Composite Binary Offset Carrier (CBOC) signals. The distortion of the discriminator function (i.e., S-curve), due to data and pilot spreading codes cross-correlation properties, is evaluated when only the data...

The Multiplexed Binary Offset Carrier (MBOC (6, 1)) signal is adopted to provide agreed [1], [2] common power spectral density for Galileo E1 Open Service (OS) and GPSIII L1C signals. In MBOC, a small amount of energy from a BOC signal with higher subcarrier frequency (i.e. BOC (6, 1)) is linearly added to the portions belong to the previous common baseline signal (i.e. BOC (1, 1)) to improve t...

The emerging global satellites system Galileo has gained much public interest regarding location and positioning services. Two new modulations, Composite Binary Offset Carrier (CBOC) and Alternate Binary Offset Carrier (AltBOC) will be used in the E1 and E5 band in the Galileo Open service (OS), respectively. The AltBOC modulation has the advantage that the E5a and E5b band can be processed ind...
